About Us

Founded in 2020 during the height of the pandemic, Thinking Toys PH was established by IDr. Catherine Almonte and Ar. Jerard Ko — parents of three active boys, an Interior Designer and an Architect by profession, and homeschoolers by heart.

Amid the uncertainty, anxiety, and isolation experienced by many Filipino families during lockdown, we sought healthier and more meaningful ways to support childhood development at home. With children confined indoors and limited in outdoor play, we were inspired to create a space where families could access safe, enriching, and developmentally beneficial toys — designed to spark imagination, movement, and joy in every season.

At Thinking Toys PH, we thoughtfully curate a wide range of products including children’s furniture, magnetic tiles, train sets, pretend play sets, and other engaging learning toys. We work directly with trusted and reputable manufacturers who uphold strict quality standards, ensuring that every product meets our expectations for safety, durability, and craftsmanship.

Beyond aesthetics, we believe toys should serve a purpose. Each piece we offer is selected not only to complement modern homes but also to support children’s cognitive, physical, social, and emotional growth.

That is why most of our toys are open-ended — designed to be played with in multiple ways, encouraging limitless possibilities. Because children don’t need many toys — they need meaningful ones.
